Reliable Lifting for Your Seasonal Truss & HVAC Needs
Jake’s Top Notch Tree Service offers limited, focused seasonal crane services specifically for roof truss setting and HVAC unit placement. These services are designed to support local builders, framers, and HVAC contractors—without competing with our core tree service operations.
During the winter months, crane availability is expanded with flexible scheduling and priority given to truss and HVAC jobs. This approach allows equipment and skilled operators to stay productive during the off-season while continuing to prioritize tree service work year-round.
All crane services are performed by highly trained professionals with nationally recognized certifications. Jake’s Top Notch Tree Service employs NCCCO Certified and NCCER Certified Crane Operators, ensuring every lift is handled with precision, safety, and industry-approved best practices. These certifications reflect a commitment to proper training, operational excellence, and jobsite safety on every project.
Purpose-Driven, Not Full-Time
Seasonal crane services exist to serve a clear purpose—supporting builders during slower winter months while keeping experienced operators working and equipment in use. This is not a full-service crane rental operation, but a practical, seasonal offering built around specific needs.
Contact Jake’s Top Notch Tree Service to discuss availability, scheduling, and current rates.
To protect our core operations and maintain reliable service, crane work is intentionally limited in scope. Jobs that fall outside roof truss setting or HVAC placement are declined or referred out to ensure expectations remain clear and service quality stays consistent.
We do not offer general crane rentals, industrial or multi-day projects, multi-crane jobs, steel erection, heavy precast work, long-distance mobilizations, or bare crane rentals.
To ensure a safe and efficient lift, the jobsite must meet all requirements before the crane arrives. Please note: if the crane arrives and the site is not ready, the clock runs. Proper preparation helps keep the project on schedule and the lift safe for everyone involved.
Clear access and frozen or stable ground conditions are required for safe crane setup and operation.
Accurate load weights and adequate setup space must be provided before arrival.
All necessary permits must be obtained before the scheduled lift. If the site isn’t ready when the crane arrives, billing time will still commences.
Onsite coordination with crew and adherence to safety protocols are essential for a smooth, efficient lift.
Winter is the primary season for crane services, operating on a first-come, first-served basis with priority scheduling available—ideal for builders planning ahead. During peak tree season, crane jobs are scheduled around tree work, availability is limited, and emergency tree service takes priority.
A minimum three-hour booking applies to all crane jobs. Overtime applies after eight hours or after 5:00 PM. Availability, rates, and scheduling details are confirmed at booking to ensure clear communication and realistic expectations.
